| The Test of Written English is killing me. A test taker is supposed to write an essay of over 300 words within 30 minutes. I can just do that. When writing in English as a foreign language, it matters little if one is thinking in Chinese or English or both. The issue is the scoring result. Last time I did TOEFL iBT reading 28 listening 26 speaking 26. The disaster was writing, a mere 24. I could have done better because I am fast. |

I am taking an IELTS preparation course in Shanghai. A major headache about sitting a real exam is of course Writing task 1 and 2. I haven't read your book, but I think I should. Can I actually crack IELTS writing in so short a period as 10 days?
Mr. Ryan Higgins is my tutor. I am pleased with his coaching. He rates my writing 6.5, and yet I need 7.5 in writing score. That worries me a lot.
I may want to read more model essays. Do you have some?
