1.In a typical Chinese family, who plays the leading role?

The leading role is what you think a leading role should be. If it means raising children then the mother fits this role more appropriately. If it means being the bread winner then it usually means the father. So it’s what you think the leading role entails is who you would choose.

Before the grandparents start teaching the children the parents will have conversations about what the grandparents should be teaching their child. Chinese parents are very particular in what their kids learn so the grandparents won’t vary much from the parent’s instructions.
