The line graph compares how much these fourcountries spent on the research of renewable energy during the period from 1975to 2000.

In 1975, there were no countries budgeting forthis research, while the spending from Switzerland, Denmark, Spain and the UKreached 2.6, 1.8, 1 and 0.5 dollars per person respectively in the year 1980.

In the following years, the figure forSwitzerland nearly doubled, rising from 2.6 to over 5 dollars per person. Theinvestment form Denmark almost leveled off from 1980 to 1995, after which itrose remarkably and arrived at 3 dollars per person in the year 2000.

范文一:

A child’s education has never been about learninginformation and basic skills only. It has always included teaching the nextgeneration how to become law-abiding citizens. While some people claim thatthose ex-prisoners are the best teachers to raise the awareness regarding laws,I believe that other measures are equally effective.

Obviously, ex-prisoners play a vital role incutting youth crime. This is because those released prisoners have witnessedthe horrors happened in the jail and they may also experience some of them. Atthe same time, they can share the tears and sorrows they suffered in the jailsand the harm they have brought to the victims and their family members. This ismore impressivethan the traditional lectures given by professors. By listeningto a wide range of real cases in person, young generation will realise theconsequence of the irresponsible behaviour deeply and discipline themselvesstrictly in the future.

Nevertheless, I believe other alternatives shouldbe taken into consideration as well. It is common for people to have a feartowards criminals, especially those who have committed violent crimes andtherefore face-to-face conversation between the young and people with acriminal record might be inappropriate in some cases. By contrast, policemennormally have a good impression among youngsters and they can become the activevoice in reducing juvenile delinquency. Apart from them, parents can certainlybe the first to help children learn the differences between right and wrongsince they are the people who know their children best in the world.

In my opinion, it is the responsibility of every member of a society tohelp the young generation to become good citizens.

With the crime rate hovering at high level, the impact that people with a prison record have exerted on the society is massive in scale. Today, many assert that those who were sent into prison become behaved later should be the most appropriate ones to demonstrate the risk of committing a crime. Speaking for myself, I wholeheartedly support their views.

In the first place, given the opportunities to share their experience, it is a definite lenient movement of the society to criminals. There are two advantages for ex-convicts. Firstly, to work as a mental tutor is an affirmative way for people who were discharged from prison to pour out which reduces emotional traumas. On the other hand, the feeling of being accepted by public motivates citizens with a prison record to live positively in the future.

In the second place, the picturesque description of the cost of violating the law given by previous convictions is definitely more advantageous than accessing text books for students. As for students, the legal knowledge cultivated before has been abstract and literal. With protagonists in real cases talking about their criminal motives, struggles and repentance, students would be personally on the scene. That is to say, this is a worth-trying attempt to cut down juvenile crime rate.

Last but not the least, there is an invisible correlation between the public tolerance to ex-convicts and the social harmony and stability. When a sound society is able to operate programs like inviting people with a prison record to talk to students, the probability of these people to repeat their mistakes is depleting which promises a lower crime rate. In addition, this population going back to workplace is a powerful source to stimulate economic development.

In sum, encouraging law-abiding citizens who were ex-convicts to talk to adolescences contributes many aspects of the society. It is crucial that we maintain an open-minded attitude to give them an opportunity for correction which is also to give the youngsters a more promising future.
